Kost – Toronto Review

Kost

Kost

Ready for a rooftop restaurant but also want to be about to swim? We understand that need and we have found the place. Kost, on top of the Bisha Hotel, 44 stories above the biggest city in Canada.

Kost is like one of those beautiful places you go to enjoy the openness of a restaurant and soak in the views of the city while eating good food. The inside is filled with light from the big windows, full of wicker chairs, and has an open kitchen with fresh food. What more could you want, really?

This is a high tourist destination, summer or winter, Kost provides a nice shelter and good atmosphere. The staff here are friendly, and they seem to be enjoying their jobs. The food they serve is Baja-inspired and hits just right.

Kost is definitely more of a place you go to eat and hang out with hot people than to party, but there is always room for that.  Drinks are served in plastic cups which is a downer since its 1) bad for the environment and 2) you’re paying 15+ a drink. The food is pricey but worth it, and they offer vegetarian and gluten-free dishes!
They don’t have a strict dress code, however, you should wear something nice. Women wore summer dresses or nice summer outfits with high heels and sands. Men wore button-ups, or trendy jeans and nice t-shirts.
Even though the pool is guests only, the patio is not! The public can enjoy the restaurant and mingle with guests if they please.

Overall, this is a beautiful dining experience where the staff knows how to treat people right, the atmosphere is light and open, and the views are spectacular. Kost will be seeing us again for our next team meal/pre-drink party.
