Dressy-casual dress code, or going out wear does this place just right. With all of the beautiful people in LA, it’s always nice to dress up. Lots of women here wear trendy outfits such as dress pants and tube tops, dresses with high heels and cute clutches and everything in between. Men tend to stick to button-up shirts and dress pants or v-necks and jeans.

When the live music starts, diners turn more open and get a little friendlier. Around 10 pm is when the party is getting really good and chairs are pushed out of the way. There is usually a huge line that forms around 10 pm, so if you want to get in without a hassle, show up early! Waiting for the amounts of people to get up the elevator is just so tedious, and can be easily avoided.

Music switches from jazz to a more upbeat set with top 40 and hip-hop – especially on the weekend. During the weekdays the vibe is usually more casual, and mature then the weekend comes and everyone’s attitude becomes more like, “yes, let’s order 10 drinks, why not?”

Overall, Perch is probably one of the best rooftops in DTLA, which means, you can bet your ass we’ll be there.

The crowd this place pulls in is a younger hip-hop one, with good vibes and friendly attitudes. There isn’t a dance floor here, so it’s more of a chill spot to start the night. However, it’s a fairly large venue that you can still dance around if you wish. Towards the weekend, the crowd gets a little more ghetto, so if that’s you, this is the perfect spot.

Bottle service is available and packages can be discussed in person, or on their website. It’s open 7 days a week till 2 am and gets a lot of traffic from the public which can be seen as great or not great.

Ratio fluctuates during the day and gets more of a 50:50 towards the evening parties. On the weekends you can expect to see more men than women here. The ladies usually dress in less clothing on the weekends like little shorts with tube tops, see-through shirts, anything from the GIA or fashion nova catalogs. Men on the weekends tend to go for shirts and jeans, black pants, or anything else that is trending.

Ace is a good spot to go for nice music, hangouts, and meeting new friends. We hope to see y’all there sometime.

Yes, it is 21+ and a mature crowd. Being Downtown, it attracts all the condo owners of the area and a lot of businesspeople. With that being said, you either get a day where everyone wants to unwind and be crazy, or they’re more reserved. Everyone dresses trendy, fashionable in their nicest beachy/pool wear. Looks of cute summer dresses, and shorts. No flip-flops though.

Open 7 days a week until 2 am, this rooftop gives you the perfect opportunity to enjoy any time. Bottle service starts at $400 and continues to go up according to the size of your group. Drinks are average LA prices, $13-17 for a cocktail, and roughly $7 for a beer or wine.

With all the amenities, it costs to get in and cover ranges from $10-40 depending on the day you decide to go. The music is always a casual rooftop vibe with top 40, hip-hop, house, and even some throwbacks.

The good news about this place is if you like it, you can check out the one on Sunset Blvd, or in New York, Miami, or London, England.

This is a great venue to go if you want to relax with friends, hang out with a special someone and do all of the extra things, or meet new people. The atmosphere is mature but friendly enough that you’ll be able to fit right in and have a good time – if you’re cool, can’t promise anything otherwise.

You can catch the Nokturnal group here soaking up the sun.

Clifton’s Republic- Los Angeles Review

Clifton's Republic

The best spots are the ones that have different levels with different vibes, that way if one-floor sucks, you can simply take the stairs to the next. That’s exactly what Clifton Downtown LA offers – the locals say DTLA, so if you don’t want to stand out as a tourist, DTLA it is.

Clifton’s has a very cool club that is packed almost every single weekend. The line up is massive after 11 pm and is tough to get into.

The doormen here are friendly enough that if you’re a group of girls, you can get in with slipping them some money, or just by simply be persuasive – ok ladies now let’s get in formation! If you’re a group of dudes trying to get in, it’s best to just flash some money and ask to skip the line, if you’re cool enough, you’ll get in.

The first floor walking in is the dance floor that has a consistent flow of the top 40 hip-hop songs old school and new school. Right in the middle is a tree. It sounds weird… but it adds to the jungle theme they’re looking to achieve here. It stands out, and is beautiful.

The second floor has some tables, and booths for bottles or just chairs to sit in. Up here, you can over look the crowd while they dance away while you sit and sip your drink.

The third floor is a live jazz night. This is a favourite for anyone(including some members of the nok group) who love to dance to live music. This is the floor you go if you want to dance dance, and have someone swing you around while you pretend it’s 1950(but with equal rights for women, and no smoking). The atmosphere up here is light, energizing, and unique. It brings a true life to the club, and your night.

Dress code goes from that red dress that makes all the jaws drop to jeans and a tube top that makes you look trendy, classy and sexy all in one. For men, it’s the “I want to look good, but not too good just in case we end up at a bar” look which includes jeans, t-shirts and that nice jacket you bought and haven’t figured out where to go with it. Of course, if you’re planning on jazzing the night away, wear something more exciting that will allow your body to move with the music.

Drinks here are an average price for DTLA, roughly $9-14 and the bartenders are very friendly and good at what they do. This is the place to celebrate a 21st, get a table, and get lost in the music. The vibe is so chill, yet upscale enough that you feel important.

Expect some fights outside the club, because well, it’s Los Angeles. But, inside the club the security runs everything tight, and keeps it safe. The ratio is always made sure to be good with the amount of people that come here. This could be a good date place, a great way to pick someone up, or just have a night out with the homies.

Clifton’s will be seeing us again, you can bet on it.

Club Mayan – Los Angeles Review

Club Mayan

Down to get spicy with a Latin infused night? Head over to Club Mayan DTLA to get exactly what you’re looking for.

Downtown LA has some pretty mixed vibes. They cater more to the people who can afford the condo’s there and who are willing to live there. DTLA is pretty ratchet for parties and either no shootings happen, or 5 happen in one night, there is never an in-between.

One thing to keep in mind is DTLA is home to one of the largest homeless populations in North America – skid row. You’ve likely seen it, and Jaden Smith just made news by feeding them all vegan meals.

Now, back to Club Mayan. Club Mayan is the place where shit gets poppin’. Around 11 pm is when everyone starts to come alive, get loose, and party like no one is watching.

This club has 3 floors with all different vibes to it. The main floor is usually all kinds of Spanish music mixed in with a little EDM. The basement is the hip-hop side, and the top floor is where the reggaeton, bachata, salsa, etc…

The cover charge is usually $10 before 11 pm, and after it goes up to anywhere from $15-30. Drinks are an average price of $12-25, and the bottle service is available and they want you to buy. At the door, they’ll tell you to purchase a table to get in if you’re with a big group. If that’s you’re thing then do it, the booths here are fun and having your own space is always a bonus.

The dress code is more trendy than anything. Think of what popular Instagrammers wear, and you’re fine. Lots of guys wore jeans and t-shirts. They don’t enforce it like crazy, just don’t show up sloppy. No one appreciates that.

Once the clock strikes midnight, the club becomes more fun. It takes a few extra drinks for everyone in LA considering they’re a more stuck up city than others. DTLA is the place you’ll see big butts, real and fake, big boobs, also real and fake, and a lot of facial surgery on both men and women.

It’s fair to say that if you’re a group of women, stay together here. It’s a little less safe than other clubs.

If you want to feel the Latin vibes in Downtown Los Angeles, this is the spot to do it at!

Exchange LA – Los Angeles Review

Exchange LA

Exchange LA is located in the old Los Angeles Stock Exchange building in Downtown LA and can hold up to 1,500 EDM lovers.

Exchange brings in big DJ’s to small DJ’s and always plays house, trance, deep house, dubstep, etc… With that being said, you can end up seeing great sets here, and rave all night.

The cover varies from DJ to DJ, but starts at $20 and continues to go up. Drinks are average for LA, $9-14 and bottle packages are available. Depending on how much you want to dance, bottles might not be what you want for this place. The music will keep you going all night, along with how much energy this place is always packed with.

The vibe is more chill than most of the other spots in LA, but the crowd is a little more immature. Drinks will be spilled on you, it’s inevitable with this crowd. With that being said, the dress code is casual clubwear. Some people like to wear rave clothing, but you will stand out like a sore thumb. If you don’t care then do you, but if you do, just wear a simple pant and shirt combo with a killer pair of shoes, and you’ll be fine.

DTLA isn’t a super nice area, so ladies, make sure you come and go with a group. It isn’t that safe to be walking around after club hours alone.

The staff inside this venue are nice and welcoming! No one is over the top friendly, but compared to some places in Beverly Hills you feel like you just walked into a room full of Canadians(said to be the nicest people on Earth).

If you love EDM, feel like dancing, and want to go to a very nice venue, Exchange LA is your place to be.

When they add a hip-hop night, call us, and we’ll head back.
