Juliet Club Review

Everleigh Club Review

As we all are big fans of love – or lust – we want to go somewhere we can feel that. Toronto’s juliet promotes romance, and honestly, you can feel the love.

juilet’s theme is based on Romeo and Juliet, and they want you to know. All about the romance and up’s and down’s that come with it, juliet is open Thursday-Sunday with different themes each weekend.

At juliet, they like to vary the music according to the day. For example, Thursday is Hip-Hop, Raggae, Trap, and R&B(bias, that’s what we like), then Sundays it’s Hip-Hop and mashups with ladies from before midnight.

This venue is the spot you want to go to on a Thursday and because they’re packed on Thursday, naturally they’re busy during a weekend night. To get a full vibe of juliet, you might as well just take a long weekend of partying and going Thursday-Sunday to grasp what they’re about. But if thats not you, then a weekend/Thursday night will do.

Sometimes they have exotic dancers in cages, burlesque dancers on stage, and is very, very geared towards a femae audience. Their entire instagram is full of pictures of pretty women, and thats exactly what they attract.

Lots of weekends are extended hours, but double check as the days vary. This is a spot you want to show up to around 11-11:30pm, which is the time things tend to get spicy. The door is a little hard to work so be ready to buy a table to get in, or know somebody prior. The cover is around $20-40, and women are free before certian hours but always make sure to double check their Instrgram.

juliet is mostly a hip-hop spot that spins mixes, latin music, and top 40. Somedays you can walk into the trap house, and other you feel like you walked into a prom day.

Bottles are always a great choice as they enhance each experience, and gives you privacy. Drinks here are expensive, and you’re looking at $20-30 for a couple drinks. If you’re going out with the squad, it’s a great idea to pool money together and just get a table and you’ll probably save money, and be able to flex just a little harder.

Wearing your cutest little dress with those brand new high heels is a great idea for this club, as is wearing trendy outfits such as black n-necks, jeans, and nice shirts – guys, that piece of advice is for you.

Will we be back? Yes, we enjoyed it. Let us know how you feel after you try it out.

MUSIC

Music was a mix of old and new top charted hip-hop records and kept the vibe of the club chill.

Belfast Love Public House – Toronto Review

Belfast Love Public House

Rolling with a big group of people and thinking of a spot to either start or end the night, but unsure where? Worry no more, grasshopper, as we found Belfast Love Public House.

Belfast Love is one of those spots everyone hears about and wants to check out. Their line is ridiculous, and you should show up early. Like, early, maybe even 10 pm.

The security here is friendly enough to let you skip the line if you have a good enough reason, or you know someone who knows someone. Canadians are really friendly people, so even striking up a convo could get you in. Cover charges vary depending on how much they like and can go from $5-20, and the average drink is about $10.

As soon as you walk down the stairs and turn the corner, you’re already stuck in the massive crowd that’s already been in this neon light lit up basement, drinking since sundown. Who can blame them?

Belfast is a lot bigger than it looks and includes TV’s, 1 big bar, pool tables, picnic tables, a dance floor and a message board you can write on. The atmosphere is light and feels like a pub you see on TV where everyone goes to socialize because it’s that cool. Belfast is basically the coffee shop everyone on Friends always hang out at except a bar.

Not a strict dress code here, but everyone wore trendy attire. A lot of women were dressed in trendy wear like rompers, jeans, and a tube top, or even a cute summer dress. Lots of men wore button-ups with nice pants, but others even wore hoddies – not recommended as it is extremely warm in the summer and there is never a coat check.

Belfast spins not the best music in our taste, but if you like top 40 hits throughout the years 2010-2019, then this is your time to shine and sing your hearts out on the dance floor. With this being said, the crowds are usually a mix between 20-28-year-olds, and a ratio of 60:40 in favor of men. Everyone was respectful and didn’t push each other around the crowded bar or get too hands-on.

Belfast is a chill spot to go to with the homies or start your night at. If we’re feeling the top 40 vibes, you can bet this will be the first place we come.

Drom Taberna – Toronto Review

Drom Taberna

A big fan of live music, great food, and above-average drinks? Head over to Drom on Queen.

Drom pulls in a crowd anywhere form 23-43 with an open mindset of “we love to party, and f*** going mainstream.” Seriously, it reminded us of New Orleans and their “never-ending” party mentality. It was lit.

Drom always has live bands playing all night, from Jazz to blues, and maybe even some hip-hop sounds, it is in the race to be one of the best venues for live music. If you want guaranteed good vibes, you go to Drom.

The owners are a group of 5 people who literally said they didn’t want to be like “all the other mainstream spots in town,” and guess what that means? Cheap imported liquor from Europe – nothing higher than $8 – and delicious home-cooked food – they offer a lot of vegan options.

There is no dress code, though you don’t want to look silly. A nice t-shirt and jeans are fine or a dress and heels would equally be accepted but not recommended.

The vibe here is open, light, and welcoming but conversations can only happen between set breaks because the music is extremely, extremely loud. This is a good pre-game place, or just somewhere to hang out with a buddy all night.

It is also a cute romance spot to take a date if you’re on the 3rd date and already feel comfortable, or even the 1st date if you’re shy and don’t want to be talking too much. Lots of couples come here, but also single party lovers who enjoy music and good alcohol. They’re also open until 4 am all summer – and don’t charge cover.

Overall, the best place to go if you’re looking for home vibes, cheap booze, and good apple pie. They will be seeing us again, our pre-drink game is strong.

Early Mercy – Toronto Review

Early Mercy

Tired of the younger crowd, and seeking a more mature crowd to get your drink on with? Look no further as we’ve found a gem spot on King West, Early Mercy.

Early Mercy does not play around with their weekends and has a strict 21+ on Friday’s and 23+ on Saturday’s rule with extended 4 am hours all summer.

Early Mercy caters to the “after-work” crowd aka the lawyers, accountants, secretaries, and everyone who loves to leave work and go gossip at a bar for the night.

Open up at 10 pm, they serve food from a food truck parked right outside their – gorgeous, and large – patio and the best thing is, sometimes they rotate food trucks so you can have something completely new depending on how often you visit.

Everyone here dresses smart and trendy. Lots of women in high heels, cute dresses, makeup and lots of jewelry. Lots of the men tend to wear button-ups or a solid v-neck with trendy pants. It isn’t an extremely serious dress-code but they won’t be letting anyone who looks like trash in.

Their decor is unique with new-school paintings of greats like Gandhi, and Abe Lincon. The bar is in the middle of everything and gives plenty of room to get your grind on to some old school hip-hop beats. However, dancing is not really the main reason people come here. This is defs the place everyone comes to gossip – like previously stated – and there isn’t much of a dance scene here. Great for singles that want to mingle!

The average price for drinks is around $12-15, and bottle service is available. Bottles are always cool, but not a huge need here unless you play on staying the entire night. The door isn’t super hard but isn’t super easy either. The best thing is to get here around 12:30-1:00 amto make sure you can get in. As the night progresses it gets busier and busier. Cover charges are anywhere between $10-30 depending on time, and how busy it is.

Overall, this is a great place to get your pre-drink on and head out to the convenient places around on King or to end your night at. The Nokturnal Group might be coming back.

Lost and found

Lost & Found review

Those elite nights where you and your squad head out, looking fresh, feeling good, and ready to party. You know those nights you can’t quite remember, but will never forget? Those nights happen at Lost and Found.

Lost and Found is the type of club everyone goes, knowing it’s about to pop off at any given moment. You might see a celeb, you might buy 7 bottles, and you might even end up going home with someone you didn’t come with, you feel me?

Saturday nights are crazy nights at this place, and you’re going to want to either get a man on the inside, make a reservation or show up looking hotter than anyone in the city.

The doormen here will not let you in if you don’t look like the trendy/classy vibe they’re looking to maintain. Women, anything tight, well put together, and stylish is allowed – dresses, ripped jeans and a tube top, tight jeans and a shirt with heels or boots. Men, nothing too baggy or weird, just a nice shirt with jeans, a button-up, and you can even wear a nice collard shirt.

Cover ranges anywhere from $10-30 depending on your crew, and what time it is. Lost and Found doesn’t open till 11 pm, but quickly fills up around midnight so it is always best to get there early. The average drink here costs $10-15, and are made fantastically.

Bottle service here is a must because it enhances the fun that much more. You can be in your world in the booths but still be apart of the action enough to maintain the vibes, it’s a perfect set-up.

The ratio is 60:40 in favor of women, but can quickly turn to 50:50 depending on the mood. The atmosphere is pretty good but can get stuck up fast. Their Saturday crowd tends to be “high-rollers.”

However, their Monday night clientele is totally cool. Monday night, Lost and Found is the place to be. Everyone is a lot laxer, and the dress code isn’t as strict.

Everyone on Monday is just trying to have a good time after work or keep the weekend vibes going. There is no going wrong here as the party rages on.

The music is always hip-hop here with top 40 mixed in no matter what day you visit. Some DJ’s are better than others, but L&F does a good job keeping the crowd dancing.

Basically, Monday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday all bring in a different crowd, but the vibes remain the same: lit.

Lost and Found will for sure be seeing us again.

Blind Tiger – Toronto Review

Blind Tiger

Looking for a place you can dance some salsa at but also hear some new reggaeton songs? Blind Tigerhas exactly what you’re looking for.

Blind Tiger has extremely nice bouncers and staff. They were knowledgable about the club scene in Toronto and weren’t too bias. Inside the club is a little different as no one really interacted with each other and stayed to their own groups. Blind Tiger is a Latin club, so if you’re looking for that, this is the place. There weren’t many people who weren’t Latino here.

The music was a mix of old and new reggaeton, and salsa music. There was Cuban music, Colombian music, Mexican music, etc giving it a nice inclusive vibe to the clientele. The male: female ratio was about 60:40 in favor of men, but everyone stuck to doing their own thing.

The age range was roughly 23-30 here, and everyone dressed up. No dressed code, but it didn’t seem that anyone wanted to slack when it came to fashion here. Everyone dressed up, lots of women in high heels, and men in button-up shirts. Bottles are available and package prices vary according to which day you’re there.

Drinks were reasonably priced, and somedays they have specials, so check out their Instagram to keep updated with specials for the weekend. Cover can range from $10-20, and ladies get in free before 11pm on most days. The bouncers weren’t extremely strict with that as they let us in with no problem.

Blind Tiger wouldn’t be a place to go to meet new people or have a fun night interacting with others. If you go here, check out what music will be played, and make sure you go with a good group of people or else it won’t be great.

All in all a decent place, but not a favorite for The Nokturnal Group as there are better places but we wouldn’t mind going for a special event.

Rooftop at The Thompson – Toronto Review

Rooftop at The Thompson

You’re in Toronto, and you wanna see the views Drake always talks about, but where do you go? Don’t worry, we got you covered.

The rooftop at the Thompson Hotel has the best ambiance, views, and drinks to offer.
When you arrive at the hotel, there are multiple clubs you can go to. If you want a more underground place, go downstairs to Wildflower, but if you want open space, fresh air, couches, and food, head upstairs to The Rooftop. Cover depends on what is going on that night but varies between $10-20.

The rooftop offers day and night vibes and is absolutely the hot spot in the summer. You can purchase bottles, but it isn’t necessary here. They have a pool which is open when the weather is right(Canada, eh? always cold) and you can enjoy that while you’re partying. It opens 5pm on all weekdays, and 12pm on weekends. Thursday-Saturday it stays open till 2am, and Sunday-Wednesday 1am.

Security is nice, but professional as well as the other staff members. Everything here was run really well. The ratio was great and wasn’t too packed for a Friday night when we checked it out. The age range is 21-30 and isn’t a place a 19-year-old would go to. It’s typical to see guests of the hotel, members, residents and the public come here as it is voted as one of the best rooftop lounges in Toronto.

The crowd was mature and upscale but relaxed and comfortable. There isn’t a dress code, but it’s a place you’re going to want to look nice. There were a lot of beautiful people here. People weren’t really speaking to strangers but they weren’t opposed when a conversation was struck.

It’s a great spot to bring a date, go with a group, and spend an entire day. The food here was tasty, some vegan options, and great cocktails that were reasonably priced.

Honestly, a great spot to hang out in the sun and party at night. Everything was beautiful here. The Nokturnal Group highly recommends if you’re in Toronto for the summer.

The only day you’re able to go here is Saturday between 9pm-2am. They did this because they want the crowd to be able to indulge in a wide variety of creations created by world-class chefs who will bring new ideas each and every week. It is a place to truly explore a bunch of things in one, which makes it perfect for a girl’s night out, date, your favorite friend group or even family members.

The interesting thing about this place is in order to purchase the food, you will first need to buy “chips,” like in the casino. We recommend getting less than anticipated because they’re non-refundable and you can always add more if you run out. The only shitty thing about the chips is you have to pay tax on them, and no one likes paying tax. But, drinks average out to about $12 or so which isn’t bad for Toronto prices – which you purchase with cash, not their “bizarre chips.”

You want to look nice here as it is a rooftop that is beautifully decorated, and picture worthy. They also have a dress code, which consists of no athletic wear, flip-flops or outfits like that. Think, “if I was a subtle fashion model, what would I wear?” and you’ll nail the dress code. The music and DJ’s here are average, mixing top 40 and whatever is hot at the moment, but nothing special.

The staff is really friendly, and some nights they even host events here, and you’re able to keep up with that on their Instagram, Facebook page or website. Sometimes they even have performances throughout the night like salsa dancing and art pieces for example.

The ratio always changes up in this place and is difficult to keep track of as it is a huge venue, and more group orientated. Sometimes you can have a group of 10 men and 2 women come together, or vice versa. People are friendly and open, but most stick to their friends and comfort zones. The average age is roughly 24-34, but anyone can come and fit in as its a new experience every week.

Grand Bizarre, is cool. A nice spot to hang out and go if you’re new to Toronto, here for the weekend and have some time to kill, or just want to go there with a large group. We’ll be back.

This is a high tourist destination, summer or winter, Kost provides a nice shelter and good atmosphere. The staff here are friendly, and they seem to be enjoying their jobs. The food they serve is Baja-inspired and hits just right.

Kost is definitely more of a place you go to eat and hang out with hot people than to party, but there is always room for that.  Drinks are served in plastic cups which is a downer since its 1) bad for the environment and 2) you’re paying 15+ a drink. The food is pricey but worth it, and they offer vegetarian and gluten-free dishes!
They don’t have a strict dress code, however, you should wear something nice. Women wore summer dresses or nice summer outfits with high heels and sands. Men wore button-ups, or trendy jeans and nice t-shirts.
Even though the pool is guests only, the patio is not! The public can enjoy the restaurant and mingle with guests if they please.

Overall, this is a beautiful dining experience where the staff knows how to treat people right, the atmosphere is light and open, and the views are spectacular. Kost will be seeing us again for our next team meal/pre-drink party.

Cabana – Toronto Review

Cabana

Been working on your bikini bod all winter and ready to showcase it? Great, start at Cabana.

Cabana is one of Toronto’s top rooftop pool bars that meets a restaurant/nightclub. A lot is going on there. Cabana usually has events on weekends, and ladies are subject to free pool entry – which usually is $20.

Cabana is probably like the living embodiment of every music video you have seen tall, beautiful women in bikini’s and high heels walking around with trays, and men flexing all their money. Everyone here is gorgeous, likes to show off, and has expensive taste in clothing. Their dress code is strict, so if you’re not in your best beach/chic wear, don’t even bother – or maybe try, it’s worth it.
The place itself is quite large and the aesthetic is very important to them. Each guest is required to rent a Cabana Pool Bar(CPB) towel which is $5 with a $20 deposit(in case you steal it, I guess).  The staff is friendly enough, but they don’t give the vibe that they want to talk to you unless you’re buying a lot of stuff.

Cabana has a menu for food, and it isn’t beyond amazing, or horrible either. Their cocktails are a great price and come in a variety from mixed drinks to frozen to beer options.

They do have a cover charge, $10-20 and if there is an event say, Tyga, then there are tickets to be purchased or a higher cost at the door.
Also, Cabana has a safe spot to put your cell phones if you plan on taking a dip!
