Belfast Love Public House
Rolling with a big group of people and thinking of a spot to either start or end the night, but unsure where? Worry no more, grasshopper, as we found Belfast Love Public House.
Belfast Love is one of those spots everyone hears about and wants to check out. Their line is ridiculous, and you should show up early. Like, early, maybe even 10 pm.

The security here is friendly enough to let you skip the line if you have a good enough reason, or you know someone who knows someone. Canadians are really friendly people, so even striking up a convo could get you in. Cover charges vary depending on how much they like and can go from $5-20, and the average drink is about $10.
As soon as you walk down the stairs and turn the corner, you’re already stuck in the massive crowd that’s already been in this neon light lit up basement, drinking since sundown. Who can blame them?
Belfast is a lot bigger than it looks and includes TV’s, 1 big bar, pool tables, picnic tables, a dance floor and a message board you can write on. The atmosphere is light and feels like a pub you see on TV where everyone goes to socialize because it’s that cool. Belfast is basically the coffee shop everyone on Friends always hang out at except a bar.
Not a strict dress code here, but everyone wore trendy attire. A lot of women were dressed in trendy wear like rompers, jeans, and a tube top, or even a cute summer dress. Lots of men wore button-ups with nice pants, but others even wore hoddies – not recommended as it is extremely warm in the summer and there is never a coat check.
Belfast spins not the best music in our taste, but if you like top 40 hits throughout the years 2010-2019, then this is your time to shine and sing your hearts out on the dance floor. With this being said, the crowds are usually a mix between 20-28-year-olds, and a ratio of 60:40 in favor of men. Everyone was respectful and didn’t push each other around the crowded bar or get too hands-on.
Belfast is a chill spot to go to with the homies or start your night at. If we’re feeling the top 40 vibes, you can bet this will be the first place we come.
